In the neverending convergence between fashion design and interior design, one trend makes me really really happy: top notch designers creating small collections for budget-friendly retailers, making their brilliant creations available to everyone. We have been watching that trend for years thanks for H&M collaborations with Versace, Marni, Martin Margiela and Isabel Marant, and Target deals with Missoni, Prabal Gurung and Phillip Lim. Now we can see the same trend in home goods industry. This week I want to share with you the collaborations that have recently come to fruition.
First up, Lubna Chowdhary for West Elm.
This brilliant British artist is known for her vibrant hand glazed ceramics that she uses to create her unique artwork. For West Elm she designed a line of accessories and furniture. Vibrant, geometric and organic are the words that come to mind. Hope you like it!
