“I work primarily in acrylics and mixed media/collage. My process begins when certain objects, experiences, words or phrases trigger an idea for a painting. That painting may start immediately or the idea may rest in the back of my mind for a long while until something brings it to the forefront again, and there the painting begins. Sometimes I have a clear idea of where I want the work to go, or I may also start applying texture, line, and color until the painting takes on a life of it’s own.”
