When we asked our blog readers about their biggest struggle when it comes to decorating, 75% pointed to “picking color scheme”, “mixing colors and patterns” and “choosing new colors to complement the existing furniture, accessories or art”.

So, when I was asked to pick a topic for my annual talk for Ridgefield Library Art Talk series, I had no choice. 🙂

Color is the greatest transformative force in interiors and the most powerful tool we can use to shape and personalize our environment.

If you have questions about color and want to find out how to look at your house with a fresh eye, if you wonder how to incorporate current color trends into your home, come see my interactive talk this Sunday at 2pm at the Ridgefield Library. I will focus on the world of color–not color as a science but rather color as a source of inspiration. By asking questions such as: “Where do you live?”, “What’s in your closet?”, “What inspires you?” I will prove that the best color schemes are the ones that make us happy to come home to, and that color is a great tool for personal expression.
